The Smart Feature Selector dialog is displayed when you right-click a solid in the solid tree and click Select Features, or select a solid and click Solid Tools tab > Selection panel > Smart Feature. This option is unavailable or return an error message when the solid has no features. Use this dialog to set selection criteria to filter and select features in a solid model.
Feature Type — lists the different features that can be highlighted on the model. Click items in the list to toggle selection.
Invert — inverts the current selection; features that are selected become deselected and features that are deselected become selected.
All — selects all items in the list.
— includes unsuppressed features in the selection.
— includes suppressed features in the selection.
— includes error suppressed features in the selection.
Type — lists the different types of the selected feature in the model. For example, if you select Hole from Feature Type, the Type drop-down list displays the different types of hole present in the model such as Plain Hole, Counterbored Hole and so on.
This area of the dialog also displays properties of the selected type of feature which can be used to further filter your selection. See example below.
— resets all the selection criteria you have entered.
Scan — detects and highlights features in the model that match the selection criteria.
OK — highlights the features that match the filters you have applied and closes the dialog.
