Use the
General Edits page of the
Options dialog to specify how to handle dependencies and parameters when copying items.
- Click File > Options > Application Options > General > General Edits.
- Control dependencies and parameters using the following options:
-
Copy dependencies — Select this option to copy associated dependencies when copying items. Deselect this option to delete associated dependencies when copying items.
-
Create copies of parameters — Select this option to use a copy of the parameters when dependencies are copied. Deselect this option to use existing parameters when dependencies are copied. This option is only available when
Copy dependencies is selected.
-
Create solid transform features — Select this option to create
transform features, when using
Move,
Mirror
or
Rotate
with one or more solids selected. If
Copies are not created, the new transform feature appears at the top of the solid's history tree; a history tree is created if the solid has no existing history tree. If
Copies are created, the original solids are left unchanged, and the new solids have history trees with transform features at the top.
-
Automatically merge solid transform features — Select this option to automatically merge adjacent transform features.
-
Show a preview of transformed items — Select this option to display
and
buttons on the editing toolbars, and a graphical preview of transformed items. Deselect this option to display no graphical previews, and apply the transform immediately when the user inputs a value or a point.
