You can export electrodes from
PowerShape using the
Electrode archive file format (.trode). This single file format makes
.trode files a convenient way to store electrode data, and transfer electrodes between
PowerShape and
PowerMill.
- Create an electrode using the Electrode Wizard in
PowerShape.
- On the Export Options page of the Electrode Wizard, select EDM data-transfer files, and specify the manufacturer scripts you want to export.
- Click Finish to generate the
.trode file.
- In
PowerMill, click File > Import > Import electrode, and browse to the
.trode file.
PowerMill reads in the
.trode file and creates an electrode project, as if the electrode had been created within an embedded session of
PowerShape.
You can also import
.trode files back into
PowerShape. Click File > Import, and browse to the file.
Note: Access
.trode file options using Windows Explorer.
