Moving and copying objects by dragging

To drag move an object:

1. Select one or more objects.
2. Click and drag the selection to another position. The objects move to where you release the mouse button.

   A dialog is displayed asking you to confirm the drag move. It also displays the distance (in terms of coordinates) the objects have moved:

   

3. Click OK to confirm the drag move.

To copy an object and move it by a specified offset:

1. Select one or more objects.
2. Hold Ctrl and click and drag the selection to another position. The originals remain in place, and copies appear when you release the mouse button.

   A dialog is displayed asking you to confirm the drag copy. It also displays the distance (in terms of coordinates) of the copied objects from the original objects:

   

   These copies do not affect objects already on the clipboard.

3. Click OK to confirm the drag copy.
