Sets up the format for file names, which is reflected in the New DWG dialog box that designers use to create new drawings.
Click Add to start creating a file name format.
File Name Format
Lists the fields that you use to create a file name format for a project.
- Name

Sets the name of the field in the New Dwg dialog box.
- Type

Specifies the type of entry (for example: string, numeric, and so on).
- Length

Sets the maximum length of the entry. This box is available only for string or numeric entries.
- Delimiter

Sets the character to be placed between items in the file name (for example: comma or dash).
- X

Removes a line of file name fields.
- Add

Adds a line of file name fields.
