To add nozzles to a drawing

You can add nozzles manually by placing them in the drawing. Alternately, you can have them created automatically when you connect a line segment to an equipment item (such as a tank).

Note: You can assign tag numbers to nozzles, but they must be unique per equipment item. Different pieces of equipment in a P&ID drawing can have nozzles with the same nozzle tag. For example, each equipment item can have a nozzle tagged N-1.

1. In the P&ID tool palette, click the Fittings tab.
2. On the Fittings tab, under Nozzles, click a nozzle.
3. Click the component on which you want to attach the nozzle.
4. On the component, specify an insertion point.
5. Specify a rotation angle, or press ENTER to indicate no rotation.
