To attach an off-page connector to a line segment

The line segments in both drawings must have associated off-page connectors. Their status icons show them as unconnected.

1. In the P&ID tool palette, Non-Engineering tab, under Connectors, click Off-Page Connector.
2. In the drawing area of a drawing, click near the end of a line to select a location for the off-page connector. The off-page connector snaps to the end of the line.
3. Click the off-page connector. At the pointed end of the connector, click the connector grip. Click Connect To.
   Note: Alternatively, you can right-click the connector. Click Off-page Connector Connect.
4. In the Create Connection dialog box, click the drawing that contains the line you want to continue, and click row that contains the off-page connector you want to connect to. Click OK.
