Use this dialog to specify the location of bearings which are perpendicular to the grain.
By default, the program checks bearings on the side of the member. There is no resistance check of supports or supporting elements.
Access
- Select Bearing at the ends in the Member Definitions - Parameters dialog, and then click Bearing.
Dialog elements
Bearing length (lb), beam width (B), and bearing breadth (bb)
- Check bearing at
- Specify where the bearings are located: Both ends, Right end, or Left end.
- Bearing length
- Enter the real bearing length lb.
- Bearing breadth
- Specify if the bearing width is absolute or relative to the beam width B, and then enter the adequate width (bb).
