Member Definition - Additional Parameters

Use this dialog to define additional code parameters of a steel member type for the Russian code SP16.13330.2017.

Access

Note: The SP16.13330.2017 code replaces the former SNiP II-23-81 and SP16.13330.2011 versions of the code for steel structures. Therefore, all references to tables or sections of the code apply to the SP16.13330.2017 code except otherwise stated.

Dialog elements

Bending moments for stability analysis
Click the My or Mz icon to open the Moments for calculations of member stability dialog which allows you to select a type of moment.
Environment coefficients
Specify the environment coefficients according to the Table 1 of the code.
Tip: The code allows the application of different coefficient values for different types of analyses. Therefore, you can define separate environment coefficients depending on their usage, for example if they are used in section resistance control or in member stability check.
Note: If you are using the SNiP II-23-81 version of the code, refer to the Table 6 of the code.
Section factors
Specify the proportions An/A and alpha.
Note: These options define the proportion between the net area (Anetto) of a section weakened by bolt openings and the gross area (Abrutto). These values are used in the program to determine tensile or compressive stresses during the verification check according to (7.1.1-(5)).
Additional conditions for round pipes
Use this option to perform calculations on members that have a round section bent biaxially.
Select Unidirectional bending to use the vector sum of the moments My and Mz as a resultant moment, in order to treat the member as unidirectionally bent.
