Load Table

Opens a table in which the load type (concentrated forces, dead load, etc.) for consecutive load cases can be specified.

Menu: Loads > Load Table command

Combination Table

Selecting this option results in displaying a table where you can view the previously defined combinations of load cases.

Menu: Loads > Combination Table command

Mass Table

Selecting this option results in displaying a table where you can define the masses to be used during dynamic analysis of the current structure.

Menu: Loads > Mass Table command

Select Cases...

Opens the load case selection dialog.

Menu: Loads > Select Cases... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (standard):

Select Case Component...

Selecting this command results in opening the dialog allowing you to select the component of a case of a moving load or code combinations.

Menu: Loads > Select Case Component... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (standard):

Select Modes...

Opens the vibration mode selection dialog.

Menu: Loads > Select Modes... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (standard):

Select Result Type:

Displacements

Selecting the command allows presentation of displacements for cases of structure dynamic/buckling analysis.

Menu: Loads > Select Result Type > Displacements command

This option is also available in the toolbar (standard):

Modes

Selecting the command allows presentation of modes for cases of structure dynamic/buckling analysis.

Menu: Loads > Select Result Type > Modes command

This option is also available in the toolbar (standard):

The options presented below are available only in the structure definition menu (they are not available in the table menu).

Special Loads:

Prestress Forces...

The option allows you to generate pre-stressed forces. The pre-stressed cables load is changed into equivalent external forces (Note: the pre-stressed cables load may be only defined for bar elements). The cable absorbs shape of parabola in accordance with the introduced values of the eccentricities (pre-stressed losses and the cases when the cable does not reach the final beam section are not considered).

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Prestress Forces... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

Wind and Snow 2D/3D...

Once this option is selected, a dialog will open for defining the snow/wind load parameters used for automatic creation of the snow/wind loads on towers.

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Wind and Snow 2D/3D...

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

Wind on Cylinders...

This option is used to generate wind load for the axisymmetric structures (structures with regular, polygonal base). The option is available for the following codes:

  1. the French snow/wind code NV65 (article 3)
  2. the American snow/wind code ANSI/ASCE 7-98.

This option allows you to generate wind loads on selected planar finite elements and panels. It means that before the option is on, the panels or the finite elements must be selected, where the wind loads is to be generated.

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Wind on Cylinders... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

Wind on Towers...

Once this option is selected, a dialog will open for defining wind load parameters used for automatic creation of wind loads on columns.

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Wind on Towers... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

Moving...

This option allows for the definition of moving load (a vehicle, a route and a moving load case).

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Moving... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

See also: Moving loads

Load Pattern...

This option allows you to determine the load pattern (influence surfaces) for slab and shell structures. The load pattern is a diagram of the selected quantity (e.g. force or displacement in the given point) when a unit force is applied to load area. The value of the load pattern (influence surface) in the selected point of the area is equal to the value of the selected quantity when the unit force is located at this point

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Load Pattern... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

See also: Load pattern

Load Report...

The load report is a tool allowing to sum up loads assigned to a given structure element. The loads have characteristic and calculation values. The characteristic load values are taken from tables saved in the database while the calculation values are obtained by multiplying the characteristic values by appropriate calculation coefficients.

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Load Report... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

See also: Load report

Soil Pressure...

This option is used to calculate the soil pressure acting on the structure elements submerged in soil such as retaining walls, walls etc. The following is considered: pressure from the soil and the pressure from the forces applied to the soil surface.

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Soil Pressure... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Special loads):

Notional Loads

This option is used to define notional loads (vertical Z-) from cases indicated in the selection (Converted cases). After generation, the converted loads can be viewed in the table located in the Notional loads dialog.

Menu: Loads > Special Loads > Notional Loads command.
