Complement

Robot creates an object by removing a part of one object from another object.

Typical situations are presented in the following images: separately for 2-dimensional structures (plate or shell) and volumetric structures (solid).

Plates/shells (2-dimensional structures)

The operation is presented diagrammatically in the following image (in the form of an operation on sets).

The complex object is created by subtracting the objects covered by operand A and operand B. The logical operation yields the surface of the objects belonging to the first operand (A) without the surface of the objects belonging to the second operand (B) but including the common part of the operands A and B. The operation can be used only for logical operations with 2 arguments.

Solids (volumetric structures)

The operation is presented diagrammatically in the following image (in the form of an operation on sets).

The complex object is created by subtracting the objects covered by operand A and operand B. The logical operation yields the surface of the objects belonging to the first operand (A) without the surface of the objects belonging to the second operand (B) and without the common part of the operands A and B. The operation can be used only for logical operations with 2 arguments.
