Use this option to perform detailed analysis of I-section members, rolled or welded. Access the option by clicking the Detailed button in the detailed results dialog for the EC3 code.
The following types of analysis are performed independently and run separately, based on the requirements defined in EUROCODE 3:
- Web stability for shearing (chapter 5.6)
- Web stability for compression (chapter 5.7)
- Shearing/bending/compression interaction (chapter 5.6.7)
- Compressed flange stability (chapter 5.7.7)
- Verification of stiffening ribs (chapter 5.7.6).
The dialog is divided into several parts.
- The top part of the dialog contains a schematic representation of the member containing member dimensions; the following icons are located in the bottom right-hand corner of the drawing:
Turns on/off the presentation of ribs, rib numbers, panel numbering and distances between ribs
Turns on/off the presentation of the forces operating in the top flange of the member, their numbering and the distance between the forces
Turns on/off the presentation of the forces operating in the bottom flange of the member, their numbering and the distance between the forces
Turns on/off of the presentation of supports/adjoining members located in the top flange of the member, their numbering and the distance between supports/adjoining members
Turns on/off the presentation of supports/adjoining members located in the bottom flange of the member, their numbering and the distance between supports/adjoining members
- The dialog contains four tabs: Stiffeners, Forces, Supports/Members, Internal forces
- The dialog includes the following fields: Check and Loads.
