Before running an analysis, you need to set up the parameters that will be used for the analysis.
Parameters such as units, formats, materials, databases, design codes, structural analysis, meshing or work parameters can be found in the Job Preferences dialog.
- Click Tools
Job Preferences. The Job Preferences dialog opens. - Set up the necessary parameters.
- Click
(Save). The Save Job Preferences dialog opens. - Enter a name for your personal Job Preferences file, and then click Save. Your file is saved as a (*.cov) file.
If your parameters apply for the majority of your projects, and you want to use them as your default parameters, click Save current parameters as default.
Tip: Click 
to load a previously created Job Preferences file, or 
to restore the original Job Preferences.
