Open the Manual Verification dialog by clicking Design Steel Members Design - Options Verification. The following displays:

The Manual Verification dialog is used for manually verifying a steel member for values defined by the user according to the requirements of the American Steel Code ASD. Bar verifications are performed by assigning the force values appropriate for specific calculations. The dialog is divided into two main parts:

To select values from an available load case list, click the Robot button. Appropriate force values will automatically be entered in the corresponding fields of the Manual Verification dialog.

To perform verification of a member based on internal forces entered in the dialog, you should:

  1. In the member number field, select the member to be verified.
  2. In the Internal Forces in the Analyzed Section field, enter the values of appropriate internal forces (the values used are displayed in the right, upper corner of the dialog box).
  3. In the Internal Forces in Specific Sections, enter the values of additional internal forces (the values used are played in the upper, right corner of the dialog) needed for code calculations.
  4. In the Cm coefficients field, define the Cmy and Cmz values, click on one of the icons, and then select the parameter value in the newly opened dialog .
  5. Click the Options button, and select the calculation options.
  6. Click the Calculations button.

Once the Calculations option is selected, member verification will be carried out. After they are completed, a dialog showing the results is displayed.
