The Units tab of the Preferences dialog selects units used in fire resistance calculator.
Units have been divided into the following categories.
- Structure dimensions.
- Section dimensions.
- Area.
- Temperature.
- Force.
- Moment.
- Stress.
- Non-dimensional quantity.
Note: Units of time, thermal conductivity, unit weight and specific heat may not be modified in the present version.
Units are chosen from the list available for each category. For all units, the method the number format for the listed quantities can be changed. Click the arrows tu to adjust the number of decimal places for each of the quantities (increase or decrease, respectively). Unit precision will be reflected in reinforcement descriptions, dimensions, tables, and others.
To select a composed unit (such as a unit of stress or moment), click (...). Choose the appropriate units of force and length.
