There are four ways to attribute the member type to the structure objects:
If no selection has been made before the "Member Type" dialog is open - in order to attribute a member type, select the member type from the active list, then click the structure object to which the member type is to be attributed. Attributed member type is marked (an arrow on the left side of the member type symbol) on the list.
The cursor changes its shape to the icon of the attributed member type, when it is out of the dialog: the structure objects in the neighborhood are highlighted.
If the selection has been made before the "Member Type" dialog is open - after opening the dialog, the list containing selected objects is entered to the "Lines/Members" field. To attribute the appropriate member type to the objects from the selection list, select the member type from the active list. Click "Apply" or <ENTER> to remove the object list from the edit field.
If the selection is to be made when the "Member Type" dialog is open, select the "Lines/Members" field, then click the edit field to enter selection mode. The selection of any structure components can be done and the numbers of selected objects is displayed in the edit field of the "Lines/Members" group.
In order to attribute the appropriate member type to the structure objects, select the member type from the active list. Click "Apply" or <ENTER> to remove the object list from the edit field.
