Fire Resistance Calculator

The fire resistance calculator performs thermal calculations of RC column capacity subjected to fire.

Calculations are carried out according to the requirements of the following codes.

• Design of RC structure elements:
  • French BAEL code
• Fire resistance:
  • French code DTU P 92-701
  • Eurocode 2.

For the fire resistance calculator to run automatically after finishing calculations of provided RC column reinforcement, the following parameters have to be adopted in the Robot RC Column Design.

• Select BAEL Code for the provided reinforcement calculations in the Job Preferences dialog.
• Select Compression: simple in the Calculation Options dialog.
• Select Fire resistance: calculated are switched in the Calculation Options dialog.

Moreover, determine the end time for thermal calculations in the RC module. In the Story Parameters dialog, select a time on the Fire resistance selection list.

• Section definition.
• Thermal calculations.
• RC calculations.

Click Calculation note to create an editable *.rtf file.
