You can now use diaphragm for a floor and automatically create the primary node for a storey floor at the Gravity Center of a storey projected on the floor plan.
Before, the primary node was created at the Gravity Center of a floor itself. This allows you to assign structural loads correctly when performing modal and seismic analysis.
Note: Models created with the 2022 version will create the diaphragm primary node for a storey floor at the Gravity Center of a storey by default. For models created with previous versions, you need to turn on this option, in the Storey Settings:
- In the Geometry tab. select Stories Stories…
- In the Stories dialog box, click the Advanced options button.
- In the Stories - Advanced options dialog box, check the box for "Create the main node for floor diaphragm at the Gravity Center of the story projected onto the floor".
