When you collaborate in the cloud on a
Revit model that includes
Revit links, you also need to migrate the linked models.
When you open a cloud model in
Revit, it reloads the link, acquiring the latest version of a link from its source, as follows:
- Direct linking: The latest changes in the linked model are automatically loaded into the host model.
- Indirect linking: The author of the linked model makes a copy of the model through
Autodesk Docs to a folder where other teams have View (or greater) permissions. When linking to a copy, a new version of the link is loaded into the host model only when the
copy is updated with a new version.
