Manage Images Dialog

Add raster images or PDF files to a schedule or family.

Note: To import or link images and PDF files in views, see Adding Images and PDF Files to Views.

You can also link an image or PDF file from Autodesk Docs and Desktop Connector. The Manage Images dialog also lists all raster images and PDFs in the model, including any rendered images that you have saved to the model. You can also use this dialog to add images to the model that you want to associate with elements for scheduling purposes.

The Manage Images dialog provides the only way to delete an image from the schedule. You cannot remove an image from the model by deleting it from a view or a sheet.

Access the Manage Images dialog by clicking the browse button in one of the following parameter fields for a selected element:
Column Description
Raster Image Displays the image thumbnail.
Name Indicates the name of the image file including the type (.jpg, .png, .bmp, etc.).
Count Indicates the number of times the image is placed in the model or associated with an element.
Path Location of the original file on your computer or network. A copy of the file is stored in the model.
Note: The path information is not applicable for rendered images that you have saved to the model.
Path Type Select Relative to display a relative position of a linked image in a working directory, such as a project folder, or select Absolute to display the absolute path to the image file. If the image is a rendering saved into the project it has no path and will report "in project".
