Create view filters based on a set of selected elements or based on categories and parameter values. Apply these filters to views to change the visibility or graphic display of elements.
You can create 2 types of view filters:
After creating a filter, apply it to one or more views. Use view templates to apply a filter to a set of views.
You can apply multiple filters to the same view. The order in which they are listed on the Filter tab of the Visibility/Graphic Overrides dialog determines priority. The filter at the top of the list takes precedence. Use the Enable in View check box to apply filters to a view and control if they are enabled in the view. See also Element Visibility Override Hierarchy.
Color coding can be used to identify objects in different categories and phases.
To share filters and view templates among projects, use Transfer Project Standards.
