Install Server System Prerequisites for Windows Server 2012

Prepare a Windows Server 2012 system for use with Revit Server.

To install IIS version 7.0 on Windows Server 2012, or IIS 7.5 on Windows Server 2012 R2

1. Launch the Server Manager.
2. On the Server Manager Dashboard, select Add Roles and Features.
3. Click Next to display the Installation Type pane.
4. Select Role-based or Feature-based Installation and click Next.
5. In the Server Selection pane, select "Select a Server from the Server Pool," then in the server pool list ensure that the server you are logged in to (where Revit Server will be installed) is selected, and click Next.
6. In the Server Roles pane, select Application Server and click Next.
7. In the Features pane, leave the default settings and click Next.
8. In the Application Server - Role Services pane, select the check boxes for TCP Port Sharing, HTTP Activation, TCP Activation, and Web Server (IIS) Support

   If you are prompted to install additional role services and features, click Add Features when prompted. Click Next.

9. On the Web Server Role (IIS) - Role Services pane, do the following:.
   1. Expand Application Development and select ASP, CGI and Server Side Includes
   2. Expand Management Tools, and then expand IIS 6 Management Compatibility. Select IIS 6 Scripting Tools.
   If you are prompted to install additional role services and features, click Add Features. Click Next.
10. When installation completes, click Close.
