Revit Extension for MEP Fabrication

Use the Autodesk® Revit® Extension for Autodesk® MEP Fabrication to export an MEP fabrication layout from Revit to a fabrication job.

Use the extension to import a fabrication job created in an Autodesk Fabrication product (CADmep, ESTmep, or CAMduct) so that you can continue modeling in Revit.

Import an Autodesk Fabrication Job File
Import a fabrication job (.MAJ) from an Autodesk Fabrication product (CADmep, ESTmep, or CAMduct) into a Revit model when you want to continue modelling in Revit. Synchronizing a fabrication job with an existing Revit model is not supported. The fabrication job must be imported into a Revit model that does not contain any fabrication parts. (The model can contain generic duct, pipe, architectural, or structural steel elements.) Only fabrication parts that are supported in Revit can be imported.
Export an Autodesk Fabrication Job File
Export a fabrication job (.MAJ) from Revit and open it in an Autodesk Fabrication product. For example, you may want to export fabrication parts from Revit to Fabrication ESTmep for costing, Fabrication CAMduct for manufacture, or Fabrication CADmep for documenting additional detail, such as tags, spools, and reports.

Use the Fabrication Exports add-in to set up and export data from a fabrication layout in Revit.
Print Fabrication Reports from Revit
Use the Fabrication Reports add-in to create and print reports containing information about fabrication parts in Revit.
