Modify ducts in your Revit model using options in the Ducts panel.

To access the duct panel, click the Systems tab and click Ducts.

To begin, specify the reference level that you'll be working in in the Properties pallet.

Let's work in 3D views so we can notice changes in real-time.

You can edit the dimensions of ducts in the model.

When modifying the dimension of round ducts, we'll edit the diameter.

Click on a round duct. Let's change the diameter to 200.

Select a rectangular duct.

We'll change the width and height to 150 and 150mm.

By adjusting the middle elevation, you can determine the height offset of the duct within the selected level.

Let's change the middle elevation of rectangular duct to 2850 millimeters.

Notice how the height offset of the rectangular duct has been lowered.

We'll now change the view to the HVAC floor plan.

When creating a duct in the model, you can also use the lock and unlock buttons to maintain the elevation of the duct segment.

While locked, your duct will not be able to connect to segments set at a different elevation.

With the duct tool selected, let's change the middle elevation to 3113 mm.

Set the lock icon to the unlocked position.

Now we'll draw a duct segment connecting two ducts.

The duct segment will automatically connect even though the ducts were initially set at different elevations.

Next, we'll draw a duct with the lock icon in the locked position.

We can see that with the elevations locked, the ducts do not automatically connect.

Use duct options when modifying or creating ducts in your Revit model.
