Stiffener connection

This stiffener connection type consists of one or two steel plates that reinforce a beam or column section, welded to the input beam or column.
Note: There are a few particularities to the stiffener connection compared to the others:
If 3rd party-produced connections using one input member and one placement point are added into Revit, these types will also be changeable to stiffeners and back. You can apply the stiffener on I, T and channel profiles, but it also works for some L profile beams. The stiffener is fully visible in the Fine detail level, while in Medium and Coarse, its representation is set to off - not showing the connection symbol like for other connections that play a bigger structural role. |
