Performance Improvements

Revit 2021 includes several performance improvements.

Real-time realistic views: Work directly in real time with better, easier, faster realistic views. This feature replaces the previous realistic view mode for all types of views and sheets. With the improved realistic materials and lighting, view navigation is much faster and smoother, performing over 10 times faster than in previous versions.
Fill patterns: Improved file performance and usability by removing all duplicate fill patterns when a project or family is opened in the current version and preventing creation of duplicates going forward.
Graphics: Improved performance when navigating a view with large numbers of RPC content in the view.
Import DWG: Significantly improved performance while importing some DWG files stored with Autodesk Desktop Connector.
Materials: Improved performance when opening the Material dialog when textures are placed on a remote server.
Route analysis: Improved performance calculating the From Room and To Room parameters for a Path of Travel element.
