Wall Enhancements

Wall enhancements include the ability to create tapered wall elements and to display only a wall's core layers.

Tapered Walls

Create wall types with a variable-width layer to enable tapered faces. Define taper angles in the Wall Type properties. Override them when needed using instance properties for individual walls. Positive angles tilt the face's top edge toward the center of the wall. Negative angles tilt the face's top edge away from the center of the wall. You define where the wall's overall width is measured: the top, bottom, or base of the wall.

This feature was suggested by customers on the Ideas forum and is described on the product road map.

See About Tapered Walls.

Hide Non-Core Wall Layers

Use visibility and graphics overrides in plan views to hide the non-core layers of walls. Any layers of the wall between the core boundaries of the wall assembly remain visible. You are not able to hide non-core wall layers in views set to coarse detail level.

This feature is described on the product road map.

Edit Profiles of Slanted Walls

The restrictions that prevented profile editing of slanted walls have been removed. Now you can edit the profile of a slanted wall in the same way that you can edit the profile of a vertical wall.
