Mullion Type Properties: Rectangular

For a rectangular mullion family, you can define the angle, offset, profile, position, and more.

To change type properties, select an element and click Modify tabProperties panel (Type Properties). Changes to type properties apply to all instances in the project.

Constraints
Angle	Rotates the mullion around the grid line. Enter a value between 90 and -90 degrees. This value works with the Position parameter to determine the placement of the mullion.
Offset	Adjusts the position of the mullion in relation to the curtain wall. The offset is measured from the centerline of the mullion profile family. By default, this centerline is aligned to the centerline of the curtain wall.
Construction
Profile	The 2D shape to extrude along the grid line to form the mullion. Select a profile family from the list. You can use a profile from the library, or create and load a custom profile.
Position	Changes the mullion's orientation. Normal to Face (1) is the usual condition. Parallel to Ground (2) is appropriate for sloped curtain panels, such as in sloped glazing. This value works with the Angle parameter to determine the placement of the mullion.
Corner Mullion	Indicates whether the mullion is a corner mullion. This parameter cannot be changed. It is part of the definition of the system mullion family.
Thickness	The measurement of the mullion from the front of the curtain wall to the back. If you have a loaded a custom profile, this value is calculated from the mullion profile.
Materials and Finishes
Material	The material for the mullion.
Dimensions
Width on side 2	The measurement from the grid line to an edge of the mullion. Use this value to adjust the mullion to the left or right of the grid line, if needed. If you have a loaded a custom profile, this value is calculated from the mullion profile.
Width on side 1	The measurement from the grid line to an edge of the mullion. Use this value to adjust the mullion to the left or right of the grid line, if needed. If you have a loaded a custom profile, this value is calculated from the mullion profile.
Identity Data
Keynote	Add or edit the mullion keynote. Click in the value box to open the Keynotes dialog. See Keynotes.
Model	Definition of the mullion.
Manufacturer	Definition of the mullion manufacturer.
Type Comments	Mullion comments.
URL	Sets applicable URL.
Description	Mullion description.
Assembly Description	Description of the assembly based on the assembly code selection.
Assembly Code	Uniformat assembly code selected from a hierarchical list.
Type Mark	Sets the mullion type mark.
Cost	The mullion cost.
OmniClass Number	The number from Table 23 of the OmniClass Construction Classification System that best categorizes the family type.
OmniClass Title	The name from Table 23 of the OmniClass Construction Classification System that best categorizes the family type.
