Revit 2022 Updates
This section contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of Revit updates. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire section before you apply an update to your licensed copy of Autodesk Revit 2022 with Subscription Updates applied, either as a standalone product or as part of a collection, such as AEC Collection.
The Revit 2022 updates are cumulative and include all changes from previously released Revit 2022 updates.
Download Updates
You can download Autodesk Revit 2022 updates from Autodesk Accounts or download and install automatically from the Autodesk Access.
Available Updates
Revit 2022 updates can be used with the following operating systems: |
Microsoft® Windows® 10 64-bit (Enterprise or Professional) |
Administrative privileges |
In order to apply Revit updates, you must have administrative privileges to install and uninstall products. |
Product media |
You may be asked to provide the original installation msi file, If you downloaded and installed Autodesk Revit 2022 from the web and later deleted the extracted files (default location of extracted files is C:\Autodesk\WI\Autodesk Revit 2022), the update installation may not be able to continue. In that case, you should follow these steps: |
- Obtain the web download file and save it to your computer.
- Double-click the download file and allow it to extract its files, noting where they are being saved.
- When the Autodesk Revit installer screen appears, click Cancel.
- Continue with the update installation as described in the installation instructions.
Backup custom files |
Back up all customized files, such as Revit.ini, before starting. |
Apply Revit update to an existing installation |
Follow these instructions to install an update on a single computer. Download the update executable and save it to any folder. Ensure the original product installation media is available. Find the folder where you saved the update and double-click the executable (EXE) file. |
Installation Behavior |
During the installation of the hotfix, it may appear that the installation is stuck at 33%. During this time, the hotfix installation is uninstalling some of the existing component versions to update them. Installation progress will continue once these components are uninstalled. |
