Disable the Items feature or give users the ability to override the disablement on the Enable Items and Change Orders dialog box.
Note: Change Orders and Items are available in Autodesk Vault Professional.
- Click
Tools Administration Vault Settings.
- In the Vault Settings dialog box, select the
Items tab.
- In the Item Enablement section, click Configure. The Enable Items and Change Orders dialog box provides options for controlling Items access.
- Select the No option to disable Items.
- Select the Allow user override check box to let users override the disablement. The override is performed on the Options dialog for the application settings.
- You can control if users are disabled to assign or update items in Vault Client and Inventor. Select the No option for Enable assign/update item creation option to disable users to assign or update items in Vault Client and Inventor using the context menu option in the "Uses" and "Where Used" tabs of the "Show Details" dialog.
Note: Only Administrators and Configuration Administrators can turn off the access to the Assign Item command.
- Click Close.
