About Autodesk Inventor Project Files

Autodesk Inventor provides a multi-user project type for use with the vault.

Note: Inventor LT does not support project files.

To get started in working with the vault, you can use Autodesk Autoloader to create the vault project. Autodesk Autoloader uploads an entire Autodesk Inventor project to a vault located on an Autodesk data management server. The vault project file:

1. Logically structures data into logical projects or products that you design.
2. Formats search paths in a way that is acceptable for use with the vault.
3. Stores the location in the vault where the project data is stored:

This vault project must be used any time you want to work with the vault.
