Report Setting Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to edit the table structure of an existing point-alignment table.

Note: You edit variables (alignments, COGO point selection) for an existing table from the Create Reports dialog box.

Setting Name

Names or renames the table settings you want to edit.

Table title

Names or renames the point table (as it will appear at the top of the table in the drawing).

Structure

Use the Structure entry fields to design the table structure.
  • Each COGO point included in the table populates the first column with its point number, which corresponds to the COGO point number in the current Autodesk Civil 3D drawing.
  • The Table Preview pane in the Create Reports dialog box displays a preview of the current table structure.
Header Name
Names the columns that will be included in the table. The default template table report structure includes the following columns: Point Number, Easting, Northing, Description, Alignment Name, Station, Offset.
Data Type
Specifies either a COGO point data type or an alignment data type. Note that you can specify more than one alignment. You need to specify Alignment Name, Station, and Offset for each alignment.
Object Property
Specifies the object property of the specified data type to include in the table. Choose from the pull-menu.
Width
Specifies that the table column width will be automatically determined based on the width of the column contents, or whether it will be a specified width. If you want to specify a width, click the icon in the cell and enter a width.
Sort By
Specifies which column to sort by. Select the check box and then specify whether to sort the column in ascending or descending order, and specify the sort order.

If you want to sort by lowest to highest point number, select the Sort By check box for Point Number, select Ascending, and specify 1 as the Sort Priority.

If you want to sort all the points of the same description together, select the Sort By check box for Description, select Ascending, and specify 1 as the Sort Priority.

Order
Specifies the order in which the table entries are sorted.
  • Ascending: Sorts numeric entries from lowest to highest number, and alphabetic entries from a to z.
  • Descending: Sorts numeric entries from highest to lowest number, and alphabetic entries from z to a.
Sort Priority
Specifies the sorting priority for entries if more than one Sort By check box is selected.

For example, a Sort Priority of 2 would be applied to the specified column in the table when there are duplicate entries in the column sorted by the Sort Priority 1.

Header Name Tools
Creates a Header Name, deletes a row, moves a row to the top or bottom of the Header Name list, or moves the selected row up or down one row at a time.
