Use this dialog box to specify options before you import data from SHP files.
SHP Settings
- Displays the current SHP setting. Click the arrow to select another SHP setting in the drawing.
Import Shape Survey Data Settings
- Specifies the SHP setting options. Create a SHP setting, copy or edit the current SHP setting, delete the current SHP setting, export the current selection, export all settings, or import settings.
Import Event Name
- Specifies the name of the import event. Each import event must have a unique name.
SHP Files
Specifies the names of the SHP files that contains the survey data to be imported.
- File Selector
Opens the Select SHP Files to Import dialog box. Browse to the folder where the survey data files to be imported are located. Select the file names and click Open.
- Delete Files
Deletes the selected SHP files in the SHP Files list.
Spatial Filters
Specifies the area in the drawing where you want to import SHP file data.
- All
- Does not apply an area restriction on the incoming data; imports data from the entire set of incoming files.
- Display
- Restricts the import of data to the area in the current drawing window.
- Rectangle
- Restricts the import to a rectangular area you define in the drawing. Objects that cross or are enclosed by the rectangular window are imported.
- Buffer from Alignment
- Select the Buffer from Alignment option and then specify the following settings to restrict the imported data to an area along a specified alignment. Objects that cross or are enclosed by the buffer area are imported.
- Alignment: Specifies the buffer alignment. Select an alignment from the list, or click the button to select an alignment from the drawing.
- Start Station: Specifies the start station on the alignment where the buffer will start. You can either enter numeric values, or click the button and select locations in the drawing.
- End Station: Specifies the end station on the alignment where the buffer will start. You can either enter numeric values, or click the button and select locations in the drawing.
- Buffer from Alignment: Specifies the offset distance on each side. You can either enter numeric values, or click the button and select locations in the drawing.
Filter by Query
Filters the survey data by query.
- Query Data
- Opens the
SHP Logical Query dialog box, which you can use to create a query.
- Save Queries into SHP Setting
- Saves a newly created query to the current SHP setting.
