When the Elastic tab is selected, the Release Definition dialog displays the following.
To define an elastic release:
- Specify a label for the release.
- Select the released degrees of freedom.
- Specify values for the elasticity coefficients.
Elasticity coefficients are available only when the elastic releases option or the unilateral release option is selected. Elasticity coefficient values for linear releases are specified in the following units:
Kx, Ky, Kz = force / (length * length)
Hx = (force * length) / (angle _measurement * length).
