Use this option to define additional parameters: load type of a timber structure element and material coefficient. Access the option by clicking the More button in the Member Definition - Parameters dialog. The following dialog displays:
The lower part of the dialog defines additional conditions for round sections, i.e. unidirectional bending. If the option is selected, then during calculations of a member with round section subjected to bi-axial bending, the moments My and Mz are replaced with a resultant moment being their vector sum. The members are then subjected to unidirectional bending.
