RC slab wizard - Loads

On the Loads tab you define parameters of planar, linear, and nodal loads applied to a slab.

Planar loads

To define a planar load, do the following.

  1. Select a load type (nature): dead, live, snow.
  2. Enter a load value.
  3. Specify, whether the load should be uniform.
    • If yes, then load of the constant value q acts on the whole slab.
    • If not, then you can click Definition to define a contour on which the load is acting. You can also enter coordinates of points or define them graphically in a drawing.

If the Take self-weight into account option is selected, the weight of the slab is taken into account in calculations.

Linear loads

To define a linear load, do the following.

  1. Select a load type (nature): dead, live, snow.
  2. Specify the coordinates of the beginning and end of the linear load or define them graphically in a drawing.
  3. Enter a load value.

Nodal loads

To define a nodal load, do the following.

  1. Select a load type (nature): dead, live, snow.
  2. Determine the position of the force N (define the coordinates of the point at which the force is applied) or define it graphically in a drawing.
  3. Enter a value of the force N.

The top right part of the dialog holds the following tools.
