Calculate RC components

You can calculate RC components independently without using the standard Calculations tool.

If the Object Inspector is not displayed, do either of the following instructions:

• Click Window Inspector Dialog Box
• Click in the standard toolbar.

Note: Contrarily to the standard Calculations tool, the Calculate tool for RC components calculates all the selected elements, and it does not display the Calculation Option Set dialog.

1. Click at the bottom of the Object Inspector. The RC Component Inspector displays.
2. Go to the Structure elements tab.
3. Right-click on a RC component, and then click Calculate. The Calculations dialog opens.
4. Specify if you want to generate a drawing for the calculated elements.
5. Specify if you want to keep the existing reinforcement.
6. Click Calculate. After the calculations, the same layout remains active.

To send the calculated data and results to the corresponding RC design modules, right-click on a RC component, and then click RC element update.
