Steel Members Design

Opens the Steel / Aluminum design layout.

Menu: Design > Steel Members Design command

Steel Member Design - Options:

Code parameters...

This option allows for the definition of the steel / aluminum bar code parameters in the structure. The bar type will be used in steel structure design.

Menu: Design > Steel Member Design - Option > Code parameters... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Structure definition):

Members/Groups - Definition...

The option is used to define groups and steel or aluminum members for which design process will be performed.

Menu: Design > Steel Member Design - Options > Members/Groups - Definition... command

Table of Members/Groups...

Selecting this option results in displaying a table which allows presentation of the code parameters of members and groups of members in the currently designed steel structure.

Menu: Design > Steel Member Design - Options > Table of Members/Groups... command

This option is also available in the toolbar:

Calculations...

Opens a dialog for setting options of the steel structure element design.

Menu: Design > Steel Member Design - Option > Calculations... command

Verification...

Selection of this command results in opening a dialog in which internal forces may be assigned by the user to the selected bar. Bar verifications for the given forces may be carried out.

Menu: Design > Steel Member Design - Option > Verification... command

Steel Connection Design...

Opens the Connection layout.

Menu: Design > Steel Connection Design... command

Timber Members Design...

Selection of this command results in opening the Timber design layout.

Timber Members Design - Options:

Code parameters...

This option allows for the definition of the timber bar code parameters. The bar type will be used in timber structure design.

Selection of this command results in opening the dialog in which parameters used in code calculations of timber bars may be defined.

Selecting this option results in displaying a table which allows presentation of the code parameters of members and groups of members in the currently designed timber structure.

Required Reinforcement of RC Beams/Columns...

Selecting this command results in opening the Members - required reinforcement layout.

Required Reinforcement of RC Beams/Columns - Options:

Code parameters...

Selecting the command allows you to define code-dependent parameters of an RC member. The member type will be used during the design of an RC structure.

Calculations...

Selecting this command results in opening the dialog where you can calculate the theoretical areas of reinforcement in the selected concrete structure bars.

Calculation Parameters...

Selecting this command results in opening the dialog where calculation parameters can be determined (concrete and reinforcing steel parameters) used during theoretical calculations of reinforcement area in the concrete members.

Table - RC Member Reinforcement

Selecting the command allows display of the table containing definitions of the required reinforcement on members.

Required Reinforcement of RC Slabs/Walls...

Selecting this command results in opening the Slabs - theoretical reinforcement layout.

Required Reinforcement of Slabs/Walls - Options:

Code parameters

This command is used to define the reinforcement parameters for plate and shells. The reinforcement type will be used during plate-shell structure dimensioning.

Menu: Design > Required Reinforcement of Slabs/Walls - Options > Code parameters... command

This option is also available in the toolbar (Structure model or Structure definition):

Calculations...

This command is used to open the Slab and shell reinforcement dialog, where reinforcement calculations of the panel defined in the structure can be started.

Table - Plate and Shell Reinforcement

Once this option is selected, the results of structure calculations for plate and shell reinforcement in form of tables will be displayed.

Reinforcement Maps...

Selection of this command results in displaying maps of the reinforcement defined during the analysis of plate-shell structures.

Provided Reinforcement of RC Elements:

RC Beam Design

This option allows opening the R/C BEAMS layout in which an R/C beam may be designed. Before this option is activated from the menu, a structure beam should be selected. The beam will be read into the design module.

This option is also available in the toolbar:

RC Continuous Foundation Design

This command is used to open the FOUNDATION layout, where the structure foundation may be designed. Before this option is activated from the menu, a continuous footing should be selected in the structure. The continuous footing will be read into the design module.

Menu: Design > Provided Reinforcement of RC Elements > RC Continuous Foundation Design command

This option is also available in the toolbar:

RC Column Design

This option allows opening the R/C COLUMNS layout in which an R/C column may be designed. Before this option is activated from the menu, a structure column should be selected. The column will be read into the design module.

Menu: Design > Provided Reinforcement of RC Elements > RC Column Design command

This option is also available in the toolbar:

RC Foundation Design

This command is used to open the FOUNDATION layout, where the structure foundation may be designed. Before this option is activated from the menu you should select a structure node in which a support is defined. Foundation (the support node) will be read into the design module.

This option is also available in the toolbar:

RC Slabs Design

Selecting this command results in opening of the Slabs - real reinforcement layout. The Slabs - real reinforcement layout is used to display results of calculations for the reinforcement surface: provided reinforcement zones and manual modification of the results. The layout is used to display maps of reinforcement, deflections, cracking and stiffness. At the bottom of the screen there are tabs used to select a direction for which the maps will be displayed.

RC Wall Design

This option allows opening the RC WALLS layout in which an RC wall may be designed. Before this option is activated from the menu, a wall should be selected in the structure.

RC Deep-Beam Design

This option allows opening the DEEP BEAM layout in which deep beams may be designed. Before this option is activated from the menu, a structure beam should be selected.
