Work with Tables

To export data to an MS Excel spreadsheet

  1. Select rows or columns in the table, and then press Ctrl+C to copy the data.
  2. Go to the MS Excel spreadsheet, and then press Ctrl+V to paste the data.
Note: Alternatively, you can use the text file generation from the contents of the table option and import the file into MS Excel.

To import data from an MS Excel spreadsheet

  1. Select rows or columns in the Excel spreadsheet, and then press Ctrl+C to copy the data.
  2. In Robot, go to the Edit tab of your table, and then press Ctrl+V to paste the data.

To quickly select the values from the list, press the first letter key of the desired option in an active cell with a scroll list.

To change the order of the cells in the table, select the column and drag it to its new position.

Reverting to the default column width is done by double-clicking on the right edge of the selected column.

The column width may be easily adjusted to fit the currently displayed values. Select the column (or columns) and select Adjust width.

To filter results in a table

  1. Right-click in the table, and then select Filters from the contextual menu.
  2. Select the type of data that you want to filter. For example Node or Case.
  3. Enter the identification numbers for the selected objects, or select a specific type in the lower part of the dialog.

To fill a list of columns with identical values

  1. Go to the Edit tab.
  2. Select the column or row corresponding to the bar or node that you want to modify.
    Tip: You can also use the graphic selection options.
  3. Right-click in the table, and then select Fill Special.
  4. Enter the desired values.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Press the Ctrl key and select the column. Cells which are located at the intersection of the selected columns and rows will be changed to the values defined in the Fill Special dialog. If specific rows are not selected, all the cells belonging to the selected column will be modified.

To sort a table

To enter load parameters for a bar

  1. In the Loads table, click the cell corresponding to the required bar.
  2. In the cell, enter the abbreviation of a parameter, followed by the equal sign (=), followed by the required load value.
Note: It is not necessary to move to the cell with the given parameters in the default template displayed for the load type given.

To select elements or nodes assigned to a specific load

These objects will then be highlighted and will make up the active selection list.
