Forces

When the Forces tab is selected on the Diagrams for buildings dialog, the following displays:

There are options allowing to display the location of symbols of the following points in the viewer in the upper part of the dialog:

F - slab center of gravity
G - center of gravity of the story
R - center of rigidity.

Selecting the Description of coordinates option allows displaying descriptions containing coordinates of the mentioned points (center of gravity or center of rigidity) for each story.

The gravity center of the ceiling slab F (X, Y, Z) is calculated for slabs and beams (panels and members) located at the ceiling slab level of a story.

The gravity center of the story G (X, Y, Z) takes into account all the objects belonging to the story and masses added in cases of the dynamic analysis.

The rigidity center R (X, Y, Z) of the section at the level of the gravity center of a story is calculated considering the columns, the walls and the core walls.

In this dialog, reduced forces (FX, FY, FZ, MX, MY, MZ) may be selected for presentation; these forces and moments are reduced to the center of gravity on each story for a given case. For each of the values above, the appropriate color and description (values of forces) can be selected.

The results of the reduced forces for stories are also available in the Results / Stories table.

At the bottom there are the following buttons:

All - displays the diagrams of all the quantities.
Nothing - hides all diagrams.
Normalize - displays the diagram of a selected quantity in such a way that the scale is adjusted to the maximum and minimum value of the highlighted quantity.
