Weakened section parameters
Specify a coefficient for the Anet / Agross ratio.
Note: The Anet/Agross ratio is the coefficient which applies to a tensile or compressive force acting on the member. This coefficient defines the relationship of the member cross-section area, without considering the bolt or rivet openings (Anet), to the total cross-section area (Agross).
Tapered Column - representative dimensions
Specify additional parameters for tapered columns.
There are two ways to define the representative dimensions of tapered columns:
  • Automatically: In this case the program uses the specifications 3.7.2 of the code to calculate the representative dimensions.
  • User: Enter the depth and Breadth of the tapered columns manually.
Round Timber Poles and Piles
Specify additional parameters for poles and piles made of round sections.
  • Air Dried Conditioning: Specify how the wood was dried. This parameter is used to calculate the Condition Treatment Factor Cct according to section 6.3.5 of the code.
  • Number of Piles in Group: Specify the number of piles. This parameter is used to calculate the Load Sharing Factor Cls according to section 6.3.11 of the code.
  • Pipes - Unidirectional bending: Select this option to consider the member as unidirectionally bent. When selected, this parameter uses the vector sum of the moments My and Mz as a resultant moment.
