Using this option, you can define the appropriate material properties in the selected portion of a cross-section. Before you define material properties, define a contour to which new properties will be assigned.
Access the option by:
- Clicking Tools layout > Section Definition.
- Clicking Contour menu > Properties.
Use the contour to define the section surface or an opening located in the defined section (it is possible to define a concrete section in which a standard steel or aluminum section is contained). Define the properties of the selected contour in the Properties dialog. The coordinates of the characteristic points of the contour are presented in a table at the bottom of the dialog.
If you select both an opening and a contour and the contour material is to be modified, the No changes option becomes available. If you select it, the opening will remain an opening after the material modification and the solid contour will remain a contour.
