- Use new options to control the display of label groups in a drawing:
- Do not show label groups out of the current view: Use a new option on the status bar or the system variable AeccLabelOptimize to turn off the display of labels with text in specific label groups that are outside of the current model space viewport range. Labels inside the current model space viewport remain displayed.
Label groups that this affects are:
- Alignment label groups
- Profile label groups
- Section label groups (section offset label groups, segment label groups, grade break label groups and so on)
- Profile view band label groups
- Section view band label groups
This option affects only non-staggered labels with text.
- Redraw label groups: Use a new option on the status bar to redraw label groups. If you use the above option to prevent labels from being redrawn when zooming or panning, you can use Redraw label groups option to redraw the label groups.
- Redraw labels when zooming or panning: Use a new option on the status bar to control whether labels are redrawn when zooming or panning, or only when needed, such as if the parent object data changes. Turning off this option will delay label redrawing until needed.
- Label group level of detail: Use a new option on the status bar to control whether fewer labels are shown when zoomed out from an object. In areas that are highly dense with labels, using this option can simplify the display.

- Control label visibility in model space and paper space:
- Control label visibility in model space: Use a new option on the status bar or the system variable ToggleLabelVisibility to turn label visibility on and off for the whole drawing. This has the effect of turning labels on or off using the Edit Label Style Defaults dialog box.
- Control label visibility in paper space: Use a new system variable AeccViewportOpt to control whether labels in paper space will be drawn if they are not within the extent of the viewport.
