To create a ShaderFX shader:
- Apply a DirectX Shader material to an object.
- On the DirectX Shader rollout, choose ShaderFX from the drop-down list.
Note: While Use ShaderFX is active, the Parameters rollout in the Material Editor shows controls for the ShaderFX shader tree. While another method is active, the rollout shows controls for whichever other DirectX shader is active.
To open ShaderFX to edit your node graph
- On the Material Editor DirectX Shader material DirectX Shader rollout, click Open ShaderFX.
Two nodes are created automatically: TraditionalGameSurfaceShader and Material.
