Particle Skinner Modifier: Data Wiring Parameters Rollout

Using Particle Flow Advanced Data Manipulation lets you establish an additional level of control with the Particle Skinner modifier. By exploiting data channels created in Data operators, you can control the visibility of points in the base object and use the control particles to modify mapping channels in the base object.

Interface

Visibility Data Channel
When on, you can pick a Boolean channel to define whether a point in the base object will be visible or not. All faces that use that point/vertex will become invisible as well.

After setting up the Boolean channel and enabling Visibility Data Channel, click the None button and then use the Select Data Channel dialog to designate the channel.

Data To Mapping Channels group
With the help of a Data operator, you can create data channels of types Real and Vector for the control particles. These data can be relayed to the points in the base object as mapping channels. The particle data from the control particles are mixed in proportion to the extent of control particles' influence over the points in the base object. If a control particle has a 100% influence on a point, then the data from the control particle are dropped to a mapping channel on a point.

To add a data channel as a mapping channel, first pick a data channel of type Real or Vector by clicking the None button under Use Data Channel check box. Next, choose the mapping channel where this data channel is to go: Map Channel (also set the channel number) or Vertex Color Channel. And last, click the Add button.

To remove a data channel, highlight the channel in the list and click Remove.

To adjust a data channel, choose the channel type (as when adding a data channel), click the channel in the list, and then click the Edit button.
