Example: Number single parts and assemblies in one step

1. On the ribbon, click (Numbering).
   • Home tab Documents panel, click
   • Output tab Part marks panel, click
2. In the Numbering dialog, under Single Part, check the Process single parts box and define the start value, the increment value, and select the numbering method.
3. In the Numbering dialog, under Assembly, check the Process assemblies box and select the numbering method.
4. Press F2 to obtain the results in the text window.

   The initial numbering gives temporary part marks such as B#internal1001. The final part mark is assigned after the assembly and single part drawings are created for those elements.
