Group and ungroup objects
When an object is part of a group, it retains its own transformations (position, rotation, and scale) and can also be affected by any transformations made to the group.
Group several objects into one object
- Pick the objects you want to group together.
- Choose Edit > Group

Break a group into its component objects
- Pick the group.
- Choose Edit > Ungroup
.
Pick an object from within a group
- Choose Pick > Component
. - Pick the object.
Group and ungroup objects using the Object Lister
- Choose Windows > Object Lister to open the Object Lister.
- Do one of the following:
- To group objects, select several objects or nodes in the Object Lister, click one of those items with the
and choose Group from the menu. - To ungroup objects, select a group node in the Object Lister, click it with the and choose Ungroup from the menu.
- You can also click an item (object or node) with the
and drag it into or outside of an existing group to add or remove it from that group.
