This topic describes how to navigate the History Visualizer workspace and move, select, and align nodes.
To:
Zoom in or out - Shift + Alt +RMB, then drag right or up to zoom in and drag left or down to zoom out. You can use the mouse wheel.
Zoom into an area of interest - Select View > Zoom and hover the magnified frame over an area and release. You can also click to magnifier icon.
Pan left or right, do one of the following:

Ensure that Pan With MMB is on in the History Visualizer View menu (see History Visualizer menus).
Shift + Alt + MMB and drag
Frame all nodes so they fit in the window - Click Fit to Window or choose View > Fit to Window.
View nodes by tool node type, by layer, or by the geometry selected in the view. - Select a graph view option. For more information, see View construction history.

Selecting:
Input nodes outlines the connected tool node in the graph and the highlights input geometry in the viewport.
Tool nodes outlines the connected input and output nodes. The object created by the tool operation highlights in the viewport
Alt + click a node causes focus-on the object in the viewport. This works similar the View > Look At tool.
Click + drag box-selects nodes. Nodes that are connected to the selected get highlighted.
Use the graph view filter options to quickly locate and isolate the tool node you want to work with. For example, you can filter the graph view by tool node type (Apply filter) so that it focuses on only the tool nodes you specify. See Viewing construction history.
There are several way to arrange nodes in the History Visualizer workspace to keep it neat and make best use of the available space.

You can align nodes vertically in the graph.
Drag a node toward the node directly above it until a green spacer appears, then the release it.
The node snaps into vertical alignment with the one above it.
