Pastes objects into the current creation layer. This is the layer whose name appears with a yellow background in the Layer Bar.

Always Ask

When this option is checked, the Paste options menu always appears when the tool is used. The menu provides the following options.

You can also paste into any of the existing layers by selecting it from the list (for example, L1, L2, etc)

Include layer categories

Pastes the layer categories for the pasted object.

Replace Shaders by Name

Lets you use the replace shaders copying and pasting objects between stages. Replace Shader by Name only works with shaders that have the same name.

Note:

By default, when you copy shaded objects between stages, any incoming shaders having the same names as an existing shader get renamed by appending a # suffix to its name. This avoids name clashes between shaders. You can instead merge incoming shaders with existing shaders that have the same base-name by turning on Ignore # suffixes and merge. See Replace shaders by name.

Paste options menu

The Paste options menu is enabled when Always Ask is turned on. When enabled, it appears when the Paste tool is used.

Note:

By default, the duplicates of folders, layers, and objects use the source's name along with an appended number. For example, if the source layer name is curves, the duplicated layer is namedcurves#2.

Pastes copies of the selected construction layer.
