Utilities > Tool resets

Lets you control all your preferences from a single location. From this window, you can lock or reset your various shelves, color sets, and other user options and preferences.

Tool Resets options

The Tool Resets window has two columns of check boxes, with the functions described below. You can applied these to the elements listed on the left.

Reset

Click this icon (available for shelves only) then click Apply Resets to reset the options of shelf tools to the values they had when Alias started (beginning of current session).

Factory Reset

Click this icon, then click Apply Resets, to reset all options to the original Alias default values.

The following interface elements can have their settings locked, reset, or reset to factory default (see above). If a particular function doesn't apply to an element, that element will not have the corresponding check box.

General Preferences

Settings from the Preferences > General Preferences window.

Palette and Menus

All settings in option boxes and control windows from Palette and Menu tools (but not Shelves).

Don't show again dialogs

Settings for all Don't show again dialog boxes.

Shelves

Shelves of tools that appear in the Shelf Options section of the Default Control Panel (Windows > Control Panel).

The shelf that appears when Preferences > Workflows > Default is checked on, and you choose Windows > Shelves.

The marking menu shelves that appear when Preferences > Workflows > Visualize is checked on, and you choose Preferences > Interface > Marking Menus.

The shelf that appears when Preferences > Workflows > Paint is checked on, and you choose Windows > Shelves.

Shelves of tools that appear in the Modeling CP shelf section of the Modeling Control Panel.

The shelf that appears when Preferences > Workflows> Modeling is checked on, and you choose Windows > Shelves.

The shelf that appears when Preferences > Workflows > Visualize is checked on, and you choose Windows > Shelves.

Marking Menus

The marking menu shelves that appear when Preferences > Workflows > Default is checked on, and you choose Preferences > Interface > Marking Menus.

The marking menu shelves that appear when Preferences > Workflows> Modeling is checked on, and you choose Preferences > Interface > Marking Menus.

To use these marking menus, click and hold within the Action Window while holding the and keys.
